True stuff but to clarify, the acrnym was not preplanned but given to us by the event organizers...lol. The shock on our faces when they said "oh your team PMS" We are like, um noooo that must be somebody else. organizer: Phifer, MacHardy, Stitts, you think I was going to type all that out. You are team PMS!

Tie Breaker question,

This is relevant to the Super Vet class:
Rider 17c Kenneth Westfall AND 42 C Lance Matthews both end Two days of racing with 72.13 Points
In the final results, Matthews is awarded 1st and Westfall 2nd

The results of the special tests are:

One special test is tied, the one lap enduro cross @ 1.03 for each rider
17 c Westfall wins the Test 2 MX2 AND the Sedgwick MX test
42C Mathews wins the Test 1 MX 1

using the tie breaker rule: from the SUPPLEMENTAL RULES FOR THE CORD
1.9 TIE BREAKER

If, after calculating the results, there is a tie, then the results of each timed-to-the–second test will be used to determine placing. The rider with the highest number of best times will be placed higher.

For example, if there were to be 3 tests:

Rider A beats rider B by 8 seconds on one test and by 7 seconds on another; Rider B beats Rider A by 15 seconds on the other. Rider A will be placed ahead of Rider B based on the greater number of best times.

Could someone please explain why 17C was awarded second Place in the overall standings in light of the above rules

thanks

Sorry Ken, You are correct. The Super-vets rode 5 tests that were timed to the second over the two days of the Corduroy. (You missed check 13 on Sunday.) You beat Lance in 3 of the tests and he beat you in one. The Endurocross you both tied.
Therefore you finished ahead of him. I will get the results amended.
Thanks for riding the Cord, Blair.

Blair,

thanks for responding quickly, were you able to get the results amended?

I enjoyed the Cord and hope to make it back up next year, and hopefully bring a few more people

Ken
