Best replacement battery for dirt bikes…

Any advice on the best type, brand, and availability of a replacement battery for a KTM with electric start? I’m guessing lithium. Any advice appreciated.

Lithium is the way to go. I have made my own with good success, but parts are no longer available on eBay. I have used Shorai. Stay away, terrible batteries. I would not choose any of the "prismatic" cell types, they just don't stand up to the conditions on a bike. In fact, I'm not sure any of the lithium brands still use them. You want the good old LiFePo4 chemistry in a round cell.

My next purchase will be one of these guys:

They have a great price, built in cell management, power guage.

I haven't gotten one yet for my bike, but I would like to.

This company started advertising on an MX/SX podcast I listen to, so I would imagine they're ok.

Or you could go with EarthX and buy from Rob Lang.

I couldn't believe how light my buddies bike's (17 150xcw) battery was compared to mine (16 200 xcw).
